Circuit Training

This is an EXCELLENT boredom buster! It's a combo of weights and cardio. This interval style workout is sure to get you in shape quick!  So many different exercises in one class will keep your mind from wandering and turns your body into a calorie burning machine!  Great for all fitness levels!

Power Hour

Come join us for this barbell-based weight training class. This focuses on using light weights with high reps and targets every area of your body throughout. Every movement is choreographed to music, so you can be sure that you are going to have fun! If you are looking for a class to strengthen, tone and get your body into better shape, this is the class for you!

Go with the Flow Cardio (HIIT)

HIIT Cardio (high intensity interval training) is a quick workout designed to burn calories and build lean muscle in a short amount of time. These workouts will vary with each class, but you will mostly use body weight, cardio moves, and floor exercises. This class has a moderate to high intensity, but modifications will always be shown to allow those who may have sore joints a chance to participate!

Stretch, Roll, and Release

A class for all ages and fitness levels. This is a 20-30 minute class that will really help you find flexibility and length in your muscles. Starting with a very short warm-up to get the muscles loose and limber, we'll move into longer than normal stretches to really lengthen those muscle fibers to keep you from feeling still and sore.

Foam Rolling- (Not provided by the YMCA) For those who bring in foam rollers, we will have a short rolling demonstration to show you the best techniques for massaging out those knots from everyday use.

Spin/Sunrise Spin

This class gives you a chance to hop on a bike and cycle through flat roads, hills, intervals and even more! Great for beginners and advanced cyclers. This is a sure way to get in some much needed cardio while working those legs!

Water Fitness @ Port Arrowhead Pool

Splash your way to a healthier you! This class is a safe and effective way to participate in resistance training and aerobic exercise. It is designed to promote flexibility, join movement and strength.

Wellness Yoga

All levels welcome. This is a gentle yoga class that the instructor customizes according to the class. Includes stretching, breathing and simple meditation. This will help with specific bodily postures, which is essential for health and relaxation.


One of our most POPULAR classes at the YMCA. We take the "work" out of workout by mixing low intensity and high-intensity moves for interval style, calorie burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you'll see why Zumba Fitness classes are often called fitness in disguise!
