The Tri-County YMCA Preschool Center is licensed for 57 children. A 52-week curriculum is in place for the preschool center. The curriculum focuses on lesson plans with developmentally appropriate activities that help children reach developmental milestones. For each activity on our lesson plan, our teachers also indicate which Missouri Pre-K standard they are aiming toward for that particular activity. The Pre-K standards show why our teachers are planning the activities they do and the purpose to the children’s play. By adding the Pre-K standard to the lesson plans, the teachers have an intention or goal in mind for each activity. |
