Week 1 - Lake Ozark
Are you ready for a trip around the world? If so, join us this week as we have our passport pictures taken and prepare for our adventures. We will first head out to our beautiful Lake of the Ozarks and check out the local hot spots!
Week 2 - Missouri
We start out exploring the state of Missouri this week. We will begin in the bootheel of southwest Missouri, travel to the Arch in St. Louis, on over to the state capital, Jefferson City and finally, Kansas City where our 33rd President lived.
Week 3 - U.S.A.
We are headed across the USA! We begin in California where we will visit popular destinations such as Universal Studios and Disneyland! We will leave California and travel to the "Windy City" Chicago, Illinois. While in Chicago, we learn about the world's fastest elevator at the Hancock Tower. Next, we are off to New York City to see the Statue of Liberty and some Broadway shows. Our final destination in the USA will be the Boston Harbor in Boston, Massachusetts.
Week 4 - Antarctica
We are ready to get our first stamp on our passport! Get your hats, gloves and a warm coat ready for our trip to Antarctica! We will see icebergs, millions of penguins, seals and whales. Do you know who the first person was to set foot on Antarctica? It was a Norwegian, but who?
Week 5 - Australia
Join us this week as we go "down under" and experience Australia. We'll go to the "Outback", visit Queensland, the Great Barrier Reef and Sydney. While in Australia, we will learn how to throw a boomerang, and see some alligators and kangaroos! At the end of the week, we will hop on over to New Zealand and explore this small and beautiful country!
Week 6 - Asia
Another stamp on our passport books when we travel to Asia! We will travel to the Great Wall of China, the Taj Mahal in India and the famous Red Square in Russia. Our final Asian destination will be in Japan to the Fujikyuu, a famous roller coaster park!
Week 7 - Europe
On the road again as our travels take us to Europe to have our passports stamped! We are off to see the Queen at Buckingham Palace in England and magnificent castles in Ireland. We will ski in the beautiful Swiss Alps of Switzerland and ride on the Euro star train, which goes 300 km per hour (186 mph).
Week 8 - Europe
We will continue to ride the Euro star throughout Europe this week. Travel to France to see the Eiffel Tower and to Germany to visit the Berlin Wall. In Italy, we will ride on a double-decker bus to see the sights, which will include the city of Rome. Rome is where Julius Caesar reigned inside the Roman walls.
Week 9 - Africa
Did you say safari? Let's go to Africa where we will see a variety of amazing animals. In Madagascar we will visit the Rain Forest and in Egypt, we will visit the pyramids! To end our African trip, we will travel to the countries of Sudan and Congo.
Week 10 - South America
South America adventures will begin in Venezuela where we will see Angel Falls, the highest waterfall in the world. Then we are off to Peru and Brazil as we travel on the Amazon River, which is the second longest river in the world! Now be ready to sweat as we travel to the Atacama Desert of Chile. This is the driest place in the world!
Week 11 - North America
This week takes us to the planet's third largest continent. North America has over 23 countries, islands and territories. We will visit Mexico and taste some real Mexican food. From Mexico, we will go back to the USA and visit Hawaii and enjoy the sparkling beaches and clear blue waters. Our travels will then lead us to Alaska, the largest U.S. state, to see Mount McKinley. I am ready to go home and count how many times my passport was stamped! How about you?
Week 12 - Mystery Week
Our final week is taking us to new places we haven't explored yet. Each day will be something or some place different.
